Ragi Sandige / ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡುವ ರಾಗಿ ಸಂಡಿಗೆ.

Ragi is healthy, nutritious cereal to include in your diet. Its good for all members in your family of all age groups.

Ragi sandige Ingredients:

  • Ragi powder (filtered in a fine cloth) 400 gms
  • Sabhudhana 100 gms
  • Til 1 table spoon
  • Jeera 1 table spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

How to make:

  1. Heat around 10-12 glasses of water in a big container.
  2. Add sabudhana and boil it until it becomes soft.
  3. Take ragi powder and add water to it bring it a liquid form
  4. After sabudhana has been boiled add this ragi paste to boiling water and keep stirring.
  5. And heat this mixture for 15-20 minutes and now add salt to taste.
  6. Salt to be added keeping in mind the measurement of ragi powder and not the measurement of water.
  7. Now the ragi batter is ready.

Tip: Make this batter in the night, so that early morning u can dry them on a sheet of cover or fine piece of cotton cloth.

Tip 2: Sandige has to be made only during summer as it  has to dry for 3 days.

 

Fry the dried sandige in oil and now the delicious sandige is ready to eat.

Children will really love it!!!.

since it is made with ragi, its really good for health.
